World Music Awards with the awards' third Diamond Award, recognizing her as the world's best selling contemporary artist! This is based on her sales of over 175 million records worldwide. You can read the full citation in the image below, but the platinum accout is mind-blowing:In the United States alone, Dion has collected enough platinum to open her own mine. Her first self-titled set is double-platinum. The Colour of My Love is up to six times platinum. Unison[hardly anyone's favorite!] is also platinum, and the Falling into You CD is certified at an amazing 11 times platinum. Let's Talk about Love is also in the metallic stratosphere, at 10 times platinum. Dion's holidy release, These Are Special Times, is certified four times platinum, a very impressive figure for a Christmas-related set. In 1999, Dion's label released a greatest hits collection, All the Way... A Decade of Song. That CD is certified six times platinum. The heavy-metal parade continues with A New Day Has Come, which has already turned three times platinum. Dion's most recent studio CD, One Heart has quickly turned triple platinum as well....
