leaving Paddington for the last time is so hard - this is where our
lives came back together, slowly, fitfully. as sure signs as any that
something is passing away: the Star Trek posters that have hung
on my ceiling for almost half my life have been dismounted and safely
stored; the most important documents and letters have been boxed; the
most important books in my reading history have been packed up until I
get my own place; all the sacred tokens of memory have been secured:
shells from my birthplace, water from the jordan and from the two
camping trips, the pictures of hd in ellensburg and rafting in mt, the
nay blanket is folded; the words from taylor and billy and everyone
else held safe, the bulletin board reminding me who I am all cleared.
all things are ready, all things pass.
