The Web of W
The Post has created a surreal representation of one of the most disturbing aspects of the 43rd Presidency. Depending on the outcome of Cheney v. District Court - especially in light of today's Pledge of Allegiance ruling - this may be the closest the US voters ever get to knowing the reach of various streams into the White House orbit. Separate from the political implications, this is totally fascinating from the perspective of network theory, my latest interest.

jeremy - you should check www.theyrule.net, which i first encountered when it was exhibited as part of the whitney museum biennial exhibition (!). this ingenious website uses the power of hypertext to dramatize the interlocking character of corporate CEOs and boards of directors. its message amounts to, uh-huh, sure we don't have a ruling class in america.
