In the Hopper...

This is a new feature for the blog. I am a passionate, voracious book-browser, book-desirer, book-buyer. In order to share interesting titles as I pick them up, I'll be keeping a running list of books I've recently purchased, borrowed, or discovered and would like to purchase. Sort of like a "Books Received" section of a journal. I'll offer only a brief comment, if at all, saving only the most important for separate review comments. I will include sufficient bibliographic information to locate the titles. Suggestions on improving this feature, as well as suggestions for further reading, are welcome.

[A different revision of the Revised Standard Version (RSV). A little more literal, but a very unfortunate Christianizing of passages in Hebrew Scripture that are cited in the New Testament. I bought it because it's the nicest size/format for travel that I've ever seen, and the translation's workable.]
