I've now been able to return, after 10 months' absence, to nearly all the key points and places of this, my chosen home-city, Chicago: the University of Chicago campus, the Seminary Coop Bookstore, Children's Memorial Hospital, Clarke's restaurant, and even RAVINIA!!! I lucked out and was able to introduce a few friends from this week's training to the magic of Ravinia, where we heard the joyous sonorities of Ladysmith Black Mambazo. All that's really missing are worship at Brent House and Augustana as well as a trip to Krispy Kreme on the South Side. So many memories of this place from such a vivid past. While I'm loving my life in NYC and the life I'm creating / discovering there, this is the home I've chosen for myself.
