A busy two weeks.

Whew! I'm now back home, after a whirlwind return to CHI. Three things have kept me busy in the past 10 days:
  • Convocation at Chicago - congratulations to all my friends whom I saw receive their degrees!
  • Summer job orientation from the National Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice.
  • And a grant-development workshop at the Calvin Institute for Christian Worship.

Side-note: if you're looking for a peaceful-yet-luxurious, urban-but-remote location for a retreat, consider the Prince Conference Center at Calvin College. While the metro delights of Grand Rapids, MI, don't necessarily beckon, the conference center provides the kind of quiet and natural beauty that one needs for a real retreat, along with every amenity you could want: 65 huge guest rooms, a work-out room, FULL (really, it is) breakfast bar, free Internet access. If you're hosting a meeting or conference and you need to get away from the distractions of big cities, this is the place!
